Continuing Tour 1, we take a scenic drive along the shore of Loch Ness to Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, for some opportunities for shopping and/or sightseeing. The photos below show the River Ness as seen from the very attractive Ness-Side Walk (hover your cursor over the image or tap the screen for an alternative view).

Again continuing Tour 1, we take a trip out to Cawdor Castle (see below), a name familiar to those who have seen or studied Shakespeare's Macbeth. We then return via the Black Isle to your ship at Invergordon.

Cawdor Castle, a name familiar to those who have seen or studied Shakespeare's Macbeth. However, Shakespeare was historically incorrect as in reality Macbeth died over 300 years before the first stone was laid at Cawdor Castle. He has, perhaps sadly, no connection whatsoever with any Thane of Cawdor, or with Cawdor Castle.
